C-axis Position Control of Work Spindle
One of our most diverse and popular options which allows continuous path contouring using X, Z, & C axes. This option is used for single point diamond machining of toric & freeform surfaces via the "Slow-Slide-Servo" machining process. Note: S3 machining requires Nanotech’s NanoCAM® 3D or suitable software for generation of X, Z, C file formats.

Oil Hydrostatic Rotary B-axis
Fully constrained oil hydrostatic rotary bearing option. For use with the Nanotech 450UPL or 350FG machines, this axis utilizes a direct drive brushless DC rotary motor and high resolution encoder. The B-axis has a positioning accuracy of ≤ 2 arc second and feedback resolution of 0.02 arc seconds. Radial and axial motion errors are guaranteed to ≤ 100nm. Includes pneumatic / mechanical brake.

Removable Vertical Y-axis
Removable Y-axis for the Nanotech 250 or 450UPL. This oil hydrostatic vertical slide has 100mm of vertical travel, 1 nanometer programming and 34 picometer feedback resolution. It also features an adaptive air bearing counterbalance for optimum performance when adding and removing parts from its mounting shelf. Application examples include raster flycutting, ruling, and micro-milling of lens arrays. This Y-axis mounts on the Z-axis table.

Nanotech Fast Tool Servo (NFTS-6000)
The NFTS-6000 is an advanced fast tool servo accessory with 6mm of total stroke! The system includes a custom micro height adjustment stage and mounts on the Z-axis. Our NanoCAM® 3D freeform programming software is the driver for the NFTS-6000 and is therefore included as part of this accessory package. Includes a separate DSP based controller and computer. Utilizes a voice coil motor, air bearing design with counter balance and linear scale w/ 1nm resolution.

Air Shower Temperature Control System
This machine Temperature Control System is available for all Nanotech machines. The system maintains air temperature within the enclosure to less than +/-0.1 degrees C. Extremely advantageous for applications requiring long completion cycles where thermal changes deteriorate part results. Recommended room specification is ± 1º F for ideal conditions.
