| The Nanotech 700UPF is a 2-axis diamond turning flycutter designed for the production of plano optics. The optional A rotary axis allows simple expansion of the basic two axis flycutter with up to 3 axes of CNC controlled continuous path motion. This machine can accept flycutter wheels up to 13.75” (350mm) in diameter. It also features X-Axis horizontal and Z-Axis vertical travels of 28” (710mm) and 12” (300mm) respectively. With a large capacity horizontal carriage, this machine is ideal for both high production and large part fabrication. Our optional A-axis provides programmable spindle rotation of +95 / -15 degrees, making the 700UPF the most diverse ultra precision flycutter available.The machine utilizes many of the precision engineered designs and components found in our industry leading 450UPL and 350FG Diamond Turning Lathes. These features include fully constrained box-way style high stiffness oil hydrostatic linear slide ways, X-axis linear motor drive, a counter balanced Z-axis with pre-loaded ballscrew, self leveling air isolators and our exclusive ISO 5.5 10,000 RPM groove compensated air bearing bi-directional work spindle. The PC based control system mirrors that of our ultra precision lathes.
